Erin McLellanMaybe love was just an illusion anyway, like jigsaw puzzles that looked like a picture or a painting from a distance. But the closer you got, the more visible the cracks. Wasn’t until you shined a light on it that the illusion fell apart.
About This Quote
I think this quote was talking about how love is an illusion because when you get close to someone you see the cracks. You can see that they are not perfect or perfect for you. You can see all their flaws and imperfections. But again, the closer you get, the more you start to realize that it’s not them, but it’s yourself that is flawed.
You start to realize that your flaws are not as obvious as theirs and that they aren’t what makes you who you are. It starts to make sense why some people never fall in love with anyone because it is only when they get close enough to see the cracks that they realize how fake it is.
